Hey Everyone, My name is Rebecca Stevens. This is a picture of me celebrating my 14th birthday on February 21st (2007). Sorry about the hideous pullover; my grandma bought it for me and I had to wear it didn’t I? I haven’t worn it since then. Well I'm 15 now. My parents don’t want me to give details about where I live and what school I go to, so I can only tell you that I live in Virginia, USA. I’m not allowed to tell too much about my family either. I have two parents, a mom and a dad, and two older brothers, Tom (21) and Jack (24), who are both in the military. They are both oversees so please pray for their safety. They are the best brothers a girl could have. My parents and I go to a Lutheran church on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They have study classes for children of all ages and there are 12 kids in the teen class (7 boys and 5 girls). The studies are really good because we study about problems teenagers face at home, at school, and in the world. As for me, my parents say I am too happy-go-lucky and don’t take the important things in life seriously enough like I should do, and my friends say I’m a joker. If I’m honest, that’s all true! I like music, art, and especially cooking. I’m always in the kitchen helping mom cook supper and I love trying out new recipes. I especially like making cakes and I even made my own birthday cake (a chocolate cake, of course!). I suppose I’m a bit too young to be thinking about a career but right now I would like to have a career in catering (making cakes all day if possible). I have some really good friends and this is a picture of me with my three best friends ever: Sara, Natalie, and Annette. Sara is into horse riding, Natalie is into sports, and Annette is into computers. We all have such different interests but we all love going shopping, bowling, movies, and pizza.
I first met Becky two years ago in Maryland where my dad and Becky’s mom work. We were only able to talk for a bit but we got to exchange e-mail addresses. We were writing to each other for nearly 2 years before I got to meet her again last October. She invited me to go up and sleepover at the weekend and I met her mom and her “sister,” Rachel, and her friends, Becca, Hannah, and Alison. They are all such wonderful girls and totally dedicated to God. I wouldn’t say she was bossy at all but she is a natural born leader. She’s a good dancer but don’t ask her to sing!!! |
