Hello, 

My name is Katie Stillman and I had my 12^th birthday on January 31^st 2007. We live on Natoma Avenue in Santa Barbara, not very far from the beach. Dad is a freelance architect and mom is a Pediatric consultant. I don’t have any brothers or sisters so I get spoilt quite a bit. I am mom’s little angel and daddy’s little princess. We are all Christians except I haven’t been baptised yet because my parents say I’m too young to make that kind of commitment. 

I love all kinds of activities to do with the beach and water. So I love playing all kinds of games on the beach and I love swimming and going sailing with my dad. Mom hates the water so she stays at home. I would love to learn to surf but dad says I’ll have to wait a long time before I’m allowed to do that. I don’t really like being in doors at all. I like making new friends and new pen friends and I have 6 pen friends, mostly here but I write to Carrie in France and Louise in England. Louise is one of Becky’s friends.  

I met Becky in Long Beach when she was there with her mom and I was there with my dad. I know Becky is 6 years older than me but she is a very special friend to me. She is so friendly and kind and we had a lot of fun together. We have a lot in common because we both like the same music and we both like fashion. We write to each other every Friday and she encourages me to read the Bible and be an obedient daughter and be kind to people. She influences my life so much and she makes me feel so special. If I could choose anyone in the whole world to be my sister then it would be Becky. 

My mom says I want to be Becky when I grow up but I would like to be a makeup artist for the movie stars in Hollywood.
