HANNAH RYAN

My name Hannah Ryan and that’s me on the left and that’s my older sister, Anna, next to me and we are best friends. Dad took this picture of us while we were trying to figure out what when wrong with the birthday cake mum made for my 13^th birthday which was on April 7^th 2007. Yep! I’m a teenager now. But people say I look younger. I'm 14 now. Yay!

My mum’s name is Sandra and my dad’s name is Nick and I’ve already told you about my sister. Dad works for the IRS and mum is the school nurse at the school I go to, which can be good and bad. Anna is a freshman at College and constantly complains about how much work they expect her to do. All she ever says is, “This is just too much!”

We have a cat called Silvernose (can you guess why?) and a parrot called Fingernipper (Again, can you guess why?). That’s all the pets we have but I love snakes, frogs, and lizards. Unfortunately my parents do not share my love for these animals and they won’t allow me to have a pet of that sort. But mum did say I could get a turtle if I wanted. I’ll have to think about that.

I like things like camping and hiking and going on discovery trails. I’m not into sports but I like swimming. I have a Play Station and I like games. I don’t have a computer but Anna let’s me use hers to write e-mails and go on the Internet.

We used to live in Alabama but we moved to Columbia, South Carolina two years ago. I think I preferred living in Alabama because all my friends are there. I have made some new friends here though.

I first met Becky at JFK Airport. We were waiting for our flight and I saw Becky and her mom and Rachel (they call her Poppet) and I was looking at Becky and she saw me looking at her and she got up and came over to me. I thought she was coming over to tell me to stop staring at her. But she came up to me and she said, “Hi, my name is Becky. Our flight is delayed by three hours and my brain is ready to explode from boredom.” So then she sat down next to me and asked me my name and stuff. Then her mom and Rachel came over and started talking to my mom and dad. Becky is very nice and we write to each other all the time. I write to her friend Becca as well and she is very nice too. We don’t go to church or anything but Becky writes to me and teaches me all about what the Bible says.
