My name is Bethany. I live in Virginia and I am 16 years old. I enjoy running, camping, and hiking when I am outdoors. When stuck inside I like to read, cook, and watch movies. This year I was on my school's cross-country team, followed by indoor track and I plan on doing outdoor track when it comes around. I am not a real fast runner but I still love to run.

I am a Christian. Although I am only 16, I believe I have a lot of faith in God. I read my Bible every night, and I take notes in my journal. That is better than most people my age but I will not compare myself. I have been a Christian all of my short life. I currently attend a Baptist Church but in my early childhood I attended a Methodist Church. I am on my second time through the bible. I am currently at psalms. My favorite verse is: "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, for the Lord your God goes with you he shall never leave you nor forsake you" -Deuteronomy 31:6. It is not John 3:16 but it is still my favorite verse that helps me when I am afraid.

Even though I am young, I am old enough to know that I am nothing without the Lord and that true belief in Jesus our Savior whom the Lord raised from death is the one gateway into heaven and eternal life. I fear the Lord for the power that he wields, but I love the Lord for who he is and what he stands for. The Bible teaches us the way to follow the Lord and there are many things that are difficult for me to understand, but I study my Bible every night in the hope of gradually coming to an understanding.

I have known Becky and her friends (Becca and Hannah) for 3 years and I see her about two times a year. When we first met we just clicked and got on really well because we both love the Lord with all our hearts and take being Christians very seriously; it’s just so nice to know people about my own age who have dedicated their lives to God.

Becky’s good points: she is extremely friendly and makes me feel like I’m her best friend. She is very kind and is always doing nice things for me and she’s always there for me. She is always very interested to know about everything that’s going on in my life and she’ll just sit and listen to you for hours and hours. She is very spiritual and always wants us to pray and read the Bible together. She motivates me to live my faith and always gets me involved in doing good works. She is always encouraging me to be obedient to my parents and all those in authority. I could go on and on. She is an amazing girl.

Becky’s bad points: she has a very strong and forceful personality; she makes it sound like she’s asking you to do something but you can tell by the look in her eyes that she’s actually telling you do it. So I agree with most of what the others have said about her being bossy. She is also very stubborn and always has to do things her way. But I still love her.
