I am a 18-year-old Christian who lives in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. I am a member of the Oak Ridge church of Christ. I've started preaching within the last few years and it has really helped my spiritual growth.
I go to Karns High School, and I am going to attend the University of Tennessee this fall. I love to play basketball; I've played organized basketball since I was 6 years and I played on the varsity team for the high school for 4 years.
I've always loved the outdoors and one of the best ways to experience the outdoors is by hiking. I hike in the Great Smoky Mountains whenever I get the chance and I hope to be able to be able to hike in different parts of the country in the near future. My friend Anthony and I have done quite a bit of hiking in the last year, our record is 18.7 miles on a day hike. Hiking is the best way that I have found to relieve stress and forget about everything. It's also one of the best ways to come in contact with God's creation. I also enjoy mountain biking, I have a lot of land surrounding my house and I ride the trails there most of the time.
I can hardly drive my car anywhere without playing music, and whenever I'm in my room I always have something playing. I've got some unusual tastes in music, but most of my music is rock in one form or another. My musical taste ranges from the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin to newer bands like Alter Bridge, Shinedown, and Submersed. I even like some punk rock bands like MXPX and Less than Jake, but I have to be careful about the lyrics.
I met Becky online, and I've really enjoyed communicating with her. She is a sincere and caring person, and I hope to get to know her better. |
