Hi People,

My name is Simon Ramirez but my fans call me Si. I am 17 years old (DOB 10-20-90). I live here in DC with my parents (not cool but I don’t have a lot of choice) and my little 7 year old sister, Becki. That’s how she spells it, honestly! She’s very cute and I love her very much. She thinks Becky is wonderful and I think she is slowly changing into Becky. I’m seeing the signs!!

I like whatever I like and what I like can change daily. I like jazz, country, soul, etc. I guess I like playing sports but to me it is just playing. I like singing and I’m learning to play the guitar. I fancy myself as a modern day Bob Dillon. I guess I’ll have to learn to play the harmonica as well. Oh yeah, and write poetry.

Yeah, I’d like to go to college and I’d like to teach something. I don’t know what, maybe math, history, the guitar, karate. I need to get a fix on something at some point.

I met Becky on January 27^th 2008. Boy! What a day that was! That girl can be fierce and very scary. I ain’t kidding. For those interested in reading the historical account of my total humiliation, just go to her blog and scroll down to the “Where Did God Come From?” post. So she invited me to a Bible study that Friday and, even though I was an atheist, I went along because I was too scared to say no. But you know what? I thank God for that day because I got to see how crazy I’d been to be an atheist. I had some studies, watched some totally awesome videos, and I was baptized by Steve on February 132008 at home in an inflatable pool. Boy! What a day that was. Just like the Philippian jailer, I was rejoicing that I had come to believe.

Becca said I could say something nice and something bad about Becky. She’s kidding, right? Boy! That’s really inviting trouble! But I’ll try to restrain myself. Something good: she has a way of making you think she doesn’t know very much but she has an amazing knowledge of the Bible and she always knows where to turn when you ask her a question. I think she must study 24/7. She is very energetic. Man, that girl is always on the go, visiting folk and doing stuff for people. Her blog doesn’t tell the half of it. Something bad: she’s a bit of a control freak and she gives you this scary look if you don’t do what she says immediately (Her mom is even scarier). She’s very fussy and everything has to be just perfect. If you invite her over then clean up first or she’ll do it for you; I’m serious! Listen, I’ve just read what I’ve written and that stuff about her being a control freak and scary, don’t take that too seriously. She’s a totally, totally, brilliant person and I wouldn’t want to see her change. Listen, all her friends really love her and I am only just beginning to see why. If it wasn’t for Becky I wouldn’t be a Christian today.
