Inspired by 1 Corinthians 15.1-8
What mortal man who ever lived
could pay the price of sin?
You’ll not find one upon the earth
among all of Adam’s kin
Yet came the Holy Spirit
to a maiden not yet known
And by God’s power in her womb
a Holy seed was sown
The Son of God came down to earth
from His glorious heavenly home
A Savoir born of flesh and bone
who would for sin atone
To a torture stake they nailed Him
where He suffered in our place
And so He paid the price of sin
for all the human race
They laid Him in a fresh hewn tomb
and then they sealed Him in
And everyone that loved the Lord
for three days mourned for Him
But Hades had no hold on Him
Because He knew no sin
And by God’s power He rose again
His glory to regain
For forty days He showed Himself
to just a faithful few
Then He ascended back to heaven
beyond the azure blue
