TROUBLE IN PARADISE

The Prayer Of A Desperate Wife
My mind is troubled and not at ease
For I know that I have failed to please
I make the effort day and night
But I just can’t seem to get it right
“Today,” I think, “I’ll get it right”
And he will say, “You’re my delight”
But for all my toiling from morn’ ‘till night
We still end up in another fight
I’ve fallen into deep despair
I’m really pulling out my hair!
To You I have my soul laid bare
Oh Lord please tell me that You care?
The Answer To An Unfaithful Husband
Do you dare your voice to raise
When all she’s done deserves your praise?
How ironic that you demand perfection
When you yourself deserve correction!
She’s left out something on your list
So you threaten her with your clenched fist
A man who interprets “love” like this
Will suffer in that dark abyss
Will all your hate get you to heaven?
Sure! Just like those terrorists on 9/11
You can terrorise a nation or terrorise your wife
But there’s just no way you’ll inherit eternal life
